Introduction
ACC브런치콘서트 Brunch Concert
Korea Coop Orchestra
“Tales from the Vienna Woods”
To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss II, the Viennese composer’s works are being performed in Vienna and all over the world. The Korea Coop Orchestra’s “Tales from the Vienna Woods” also features music by Strauss and other composers from Vienna and Europe.
“Tales from the Vienna Woods (Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald)” is a waltz composed by Strauss, inspired by his relief and happiness to be back in his hometown and the surrounding nature after returning from a trip abroad. The works included in this performance, crafted by Strauss and other composers who were active in Vienna, weave together a different yet familiar tapestry of forest tales from that faraway place.
We hope you enjoy an uplifting start to another year of hope with the marches, waltz, polka, aria, and other pieces included in this performance.
