Booking and Visitors Notification

Suitable Viewing Age
  • Rating: Entry available for ages 7 or older (Born in 2017 or earlier or older than elementary school student (grade 1))
  • Please make sure to bring a certificate or document that may prove your date of birth (e.g., Public Health Insurance Certificate, Resident Registration Certificate, Passport, Student Card, etc.).
  • Viewers under the age limit will not be allowed entry into the auditorium, regardless of ticket possession or whether accompanied by a guardian
  • Cancellations, refunds, or exchanges will not be allowed if the viewer fails to attend the performance due to age limitations.
Ticket Booking and Reception
  • Reception of reserved tickets is available one hour before the commencement of the performance.
  • Tickets can be collected after verifying the reservation number or the purchaser’s mobile phone number
  • For wheelchair seat reservations, please contact Ticketlink at 1588-7890. Go to Ticketlink + Go to Gwangju Arts Center +
  • All discounts are applicable per actual viewers, not the person who booked the ticket.
  • Those who purchased discounted tickets must present certificates on-site; discrepancy in the ticket price must be paid if the ticket holder fails to present appropriate certificates
  • On the day of the performance, remaining seats can be purchased on-site starting one hour before the show.
Viewing Information
  • National Asian Culture Center strictly restricts viewer rate, mid-performance entry, and photography for a pleasant viewing experience.
  • Viewers are responsible for issues arising from failure to understand the seating entry regulations.
  • Audience seating opens 30 minutes before the performance begins. Entry may be restricted after the performance starts.
  • Please note that the entry time may vary depending on the nature of the performance or on-site conditions. It is recommended to take your seat at least 10 minutes before the show starts.
  • Latecomers may have restricted access or be directed to specially designated latecomer seating instead of their purchased seats. If the number of latecomers exceeds the available latecomer seating, entry may not be permitted.
  • For this performance, audience members can receive a three-hour parking discount coupon when picking up paid tickets at the on-site box office.
  • Please note that a ticket holder’s companion may bring their own vehicle. Make sure to confirm in advance and collect the parking discount coupon if needed.

Performance Camerata Jeonnam Orchestra
The Camerata Jeonnam Orchestra is a performance group composed of artists active in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions. The name “Camerata” signifies an ensemble of artists, while “Jeonnam” refers to the Jeonnam area. The group organizes a wide range of performances with an extensive repertoire, contributing to the revitalization of private orchestras in the Gwangju and Jeonnam areas and to the development of classical music in South Korea.

Gwangju CBS Children’s Choir
Founded in 1985, the Gwangju CBS Children’s Choir has performed over 800 times, including 32 regular concerts and international invitation concerts in 15 countries. Through productions such as the original opera “David” and the choral musical “Eternal Promise,” the choir has elevated its musical standards while significantly contributing to the revival of Christian youth culture. The choir achieved the Grand Prize and the Conductor’s Award at the East Asia-Pacific International Choral Competition in Yantai, China, securing a group victory. They also received a Gold Prize at the Daekyo Chorus Korea Competition. With choral music full of grace and inspiration, the choir aims to deliver messages of happiness, joy, and hope to those who are weary and struggling. Through systematic choral and character education, they continue striving to become an outstanding choir.
GWANGJU METROPOLITAN OPERA
The Gwangju Metropolitan Opera was established in 2017 with the aim of enhancing the status of Gwangju Metropolitan City, the cultural hub of Asia, and satisfying the cultural and artistic desires of Gwangju citizens. The Gwangju Metropolitan Opera creates pathways for cultural and artistic growth, allowing Gwangju citizens to become key players in the arts and fostering the development of talented musicians, artists, and performance professionals.
Going forward, the Gwangju Metropolitan Opera will continue to create “Gwangju-style” opera in collaboration with citizens, aiming to promote the excellence of Gwangju’s cultural arts to the world.
