Performers
- Countertenor David DQ Lee
David DQ Lee entered the world of countertenors at the age of 18 through self-study and made a spectacular debut by sweeping prestigious competitions worldwide. He has been actively performing on the world’s top classical stages, including the Wiener Staatsoper, Theater an der Wien, Staatsoper Hamburg, Teatro Real, and Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
He has also performed with leading orchestras such as the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Italy, La Scala Opera in Italy, and Teatro Real in Spain. Notably, he was the first Korean countertenor to be cast as the lead in Handel’s “Radamisto” at the historic Staatsoper Hamburg, where Wagner’s “Der Ring des Nibelungen” premiered, earning praise as a “perfect coloratura.”
He has continued to captivate audiences with new repertoires and stage manners, gaining immense popularity as a world-class opera singer through JTBC’s “Phantom Singer 4” in 2023 and actively performing as a member of Forte di Quattro, achieving the runner-up position.
- Soprano Haewon Lee
Soprano Haewon Lee graduated from Yewon School, Seoul Arts High School, and Seoul National University’s Department of Vocal Music. She then pursued further studies in Germany, graduating with a master’s degree from the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin.
In 2010, she was selected as a scholarship student by the Lee Dae-woong Music Scholarship Foundation. She has been recognized for her talent from an early age, winning numerous awards in major domestic competitions. In 2019, she released an album where all the songs are Gagok (lyric song cycles accompanied by an orchestra) titled “swaying flower,” and in 2022, she released a religious music album titled “Jesus in my diary.” - Pianist James Jaewon Moon
At the young age of 12, pianist James Jaewon Moon made his debut at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall. He was a scholarship student at the prestigious Cranbrook School in Sydney and studied under Professor Elizabeth Powell, a student of Claudio Arrau, until 2005. At 15, Moon achieved the highest score in A. MusA and L. MusA from the Australian Music Examinations Board, and at 18, he performed at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall again after achieving first place in his higher degree.
Early in his career, he distinguished himself in numerous international competitions, including the Yamaha Junior Piano Competition and the Steinway International Piano Competition. He also gained recognition by placing in the Sydney International Piano Competition, ABC Symphony Australia Young Performers Awards, Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition, and Delia Steinberg International Piano Competition.
