Suitable Viewing Age
- Rating: Ages 4 or older (born before Dec. 2020)
- ※ All ages displayed are the full age according to the amendment of the Civil Law on June 28, 2023.
- An official certificate showing the child’s date of birth (e.g., public health insurance certificate, resident registration certificate, passport, student card, etc.) is required, so please make sure to present it on the site.
- ※ Viewers under the age limit cannot enter the venue regardless of the ticket held or accompanied by a guardian
- ※ Cancellation, refund, or exchange is not available if the viewer fails to attend the performance because they failed to understand the age limitation

A New Take on the Story of “Baridegi”
and “The Fairy and the Woodcutter”
and “The Fairy and the Woodcutter”
'This production reinterprets two characters from Korean folklore: Baridegi, a character
whose name means “abandoned child,” and Dongi, a child left behind when the fairy departed in the story of “The Fairy and the Woodcutter.”
Rather than viewing them as “abandoned children,”
this narrative presents them as “protected children,”
nurtured by someone’s love and care.

of the “Bread Barbershop,”
music by Min Chan-hong of the “Laundry,”
choreographed by Han Seung-hoon
of the “Lightning Man Series,”
and directed by Hong Sung-yeon
of “The Summer of Esme.”

SYNOPSIS
An adventure of two brave children
narrated by four clowns
narrated by four clowns
A plague ravages the nation,
causing widespread suffering among the populace.
Even the king falls gravely ill, hovering between life and death.
Through the messenger of death, the king realizes
that all these hardships are divine retribution
for abandoning his 7th daughter 12 years ago.
At the same time, a woodcutter suffers from the plague as punishment for violating celestial law by marrying a fairy 12 years ago.
Beside him is his son, Dongi,
who was abandoned by the fairy.
The messenger of death reveals that only the “water of life” can stop the plague,
and it can only be retrieved by
those who share flesh and blood with the afflicted.
After careful consideration, the queen implores Baridegi,
the daughter she abandoned,
and desperately asks her to find the water of life
for her father and the people of the nation.
Similarly, Dongi, the woodcutter’s son, contemplates
the words of the messenger of death.
Eventually, these two forsaken children courageously decide to leave for an adventure to obtain the water of life.
Will these two children bring the water of life
from the “Valley of Death,” from which no one has ever returned alive?
